In 1998, the Capacity Development of Water and Environmental Services (CADWES) research team was formally established at Tampere University of Technology (TUT).

As its mission CADWES has defined "to produce usable knowledge and education, based on multi- and interdisciplinary research, on the evolution and development of sustainable use of water services and water resources in a wider institutional context: organisations, governance, management, economics, legislation, policy, rules and practices".

Vuokko Kurki’s doctoral defence 17 June 2016

M.Sc. Vuokko Kurki will publicly defend her doctoral thesis ”Negotiating groundwater governance: lessons from contentious aquifer recharge projects” on Friday 17.6.2016 at 12 in Festia Building, Small Auditorium 1, at TUT, Faculty of Business and Built Environment.

DI Ossi Heino väittelee 15.4.

Diplomi-insinööri Ossi Heinon rakennus- ja yhdyskuntatekniikan alaan kuuluva väitöskirja ”Paradigman jäljillä. Tutkimus vesihuollon ajattelumalleista” tarkastetaan Tampereen teknillisen yliopiston (TTY) talouden ja rakentamisen tiedekunnassa perjantaina 15.4.2016 kello 12.00 alkaen Rakennustalon salissa RG202 (Korkeakoulunkatu 5, Tampere). Vastaväittäjänä toimii professori Ilari Karppi Tampereen yliopistosta. Tilaisuutta valvoo dosentti Tapio Katko TTY:n rakennustekniikan laitokselta.
