- Science and Education for Water Services


In 1998, the Capacity Development of Water and Environmental Services (CADWES) research team was formally established at Tampere University of Technology (TUT).

As its mission CADWES has defined "to produce usable knowledge and education, based on multi- and interdisciplinary research, on the evolution and development of sustainable use of water services and water resources in a wider institutional context: organisations, governance, management, economics, legislation, policy, rules and practices".

Hanaa!

Hanaa Dosentti Tapio S. Katkon kirjoittama historiateos ”Hanaa! Suomen vesihuolto – kehitys ja yhteiskunnallinen merkitys” on julkaistu.

Kirja tarkastelee monipuolisesti vesihuoltoalan kehitysilmiöitä Suomessa ja myöskansainvälisesti. Se on tarkoitettu ammattilaisten ohella kaikille vedestä kiinnostuneille ja sitä käyttäville. Hanaa! -teos täydentää vuonna 1996 ilmestyneen VETTÄ! -kirjan vesihuollon pitkän aikavälin kuvaukset nykypäivään saakka sekä tuo esille uusia löydöksiä ja alan viimeaikaista kehitystä.
